We use PostHog Cloud EU to understand aggregate website usage and improve the site. PostHog, Inc. processes this data on our behalf as a data processor.

PostHog operates in cookieless mode and does not place analytics cookies or use local or session storage. It transiently processes the visitor's IP address, user-agent, and website hostname on its servers to create a privacy-preserving identifier using a salt that changes daily. This identifier is not used to recognize visitors across days or other websites.

We collect basic usage and interaction events, such as page paths, portfolio project views, contact method intent, outbound destination hostnames, and video play or fullscreen actions. We do not send form contents, email addresses, free text, or URL query strings to PostHog.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in measuring and improving the performance and usefulness of our website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Analytics data is retained only for as long as needed for these purposes, taking account of the retention and deletion settings applied to our PostHog project, and is deleted or anonymized when no longer necessary.
